Alle kirkebøker ført av presten 1852-1944 gikk tapt da tyskerne brente Finnmark høsten 1944. Kirkebøkene er imidlertid rekonstruert for perioden 1870-1902 (kun fødte, gifte og døde), trolig på grunnlag av innrapporteringer til "Folkemengdens bevegelse", jf. SSB-arkivet RA/S-2228. Dette arkivet inneholder også innrapporteringer fra 1903 og senere.
