Pupil register 1866 - 1948 - Toftes Gave ble opprettet i 1842 som en rednings- og forbedringsanstalt for barn av grosserer Andreas Tofte. I 1847 ble institusjonen gitt i gave til Kristiania kommune. Anstalten lå først på Grønland, så Pipervika før den i 1858 ble flyttet til Ullensaker og i 1878 til Helgøya. I 1900 ble Toftes Gave gjort om til skolehjem av mildere type.
